About Fix The Plant
Fix The Plant answers the maintenance questions that usually end in a forum thread with three contradictory replies. One search question, one page, one complete answer — covering hand tools, pneumatics and hydraulics, steam systems, sensors and PLCs, power transmission, and fasteners.
How our guides are made
- Topic selection — we only write about questions that real technicians search for and that lack a clear, complete answer online.
- Structure — every troubleshooting guide follows the same field logic: confirm the symptom, list causes by likelihood, diagnose each one, fix it, prevent it from coming back.
- Human review — we use AI tools in drafting and translation, and every page passes a human review gate before publication, with particular attention to safety procedures and technical terminology.
- No invented numbers — torque values, clearances, and specifications are either sourced or omitted. When a value depends on your equipment, we say so and point you to the manufacturer's data.
Safety
Industrial maintenance is dangerous. Our guides assume lockout/tagout (LOTO) and energy isolation before any hands-on work, and they say so explicitly. Guides are general reference information, not a substitute for your site's procedures, your equipment manuals, or qualified judgment.
